LOTS OF ITALIANS IN DAY 1E

IPO – CANTINI CHIPLEADER, URPIS, JAPOABBA, AND HYSENBELLI IN THE TOP 5 – DAY 1F STARTS AT 12:00

All of Italy sings to Gabry Ponte, and to the rhythm of the trending song, many Azzurri have secured their spot in Day 2 of the Italian Poker Open 500,000 GTD, set to take place on Sunday. Out of 54 qualified players, only two foreigners “spoil” the long tricolor list: Maltese Pierre Azzopardi in 7th place and Anguillian Marc Hunter in 39th. Leading the pack is an unstoppable Jacopo Cantini, bagging 561,000 chips—100k more than Alessio Urpis, the runner-up of the day. In fourth place, JapoAbba stacks 345,000 chips, just ahead of Renato Hysenbelli with 332,000.

Honorable mentions go to Ettore Cuzzone (9th), Daniele Palma (14th), AleComi (17th), Roberto Palmieri, Lino Vavalle, Francesco Fiore, and Antonio Maresca, who all advance to the next round. The Neapolitan duo Gianluca Petrano and Christian Guida also secured a bag for Sunday.
